It’s used in two different ways: either heated beforehand as the base for hot dishes (for example, Colombo), providing a grilled and very unique taste; or sprinkled directly onto a dish (rice, vegetables, etc.).
Tip: it’s best to heat the mix gently in a dry frying pan to release all the flavours of cumin, fenugreek and yellow mustard.
